Make the cake brief usable for the person who actually makes it

For pastry shops taking custom orders at the counter while keeping ingredients, production and collection in view.

  1. A brief the kitchen can follow

Cake layers, filling, finish, decoration and time can travel with the customer's order.

  2. Ingredient questions stay visible

Recipe and allergen entries support a check, while supplier ingredients and cross-contact still need real review.

  3. Collection gets a place in the day

Confirmed orders appear in production planning and the pickup calendar rather than relying on memory.

How Sektura helps with everyday work

A birthday cake for Saturday

Example: On Tuesday a customer requests a raspberry chocolate cake for twelve, flags a hazelnut allergy and asks to collect at eleven on Saturday.

  1. Clarify at the counter

The pastry chef records the flavour, finish, guest count, collection time and the allergy note as an inquiry.

  2. Check before agreeing

They compare the recipe with current ingredients and how nuts are handled in the kitchen before promising suitability.

  3. Plan the handover

Once confirmed, the order can be seen in the day plan and calendar; the team checks the actual cake and label before collection.

The kitchen has a clear brief. A stored allergen field alone cannot make the cake safe for that person.

Getting started is simple

How it works

  1. Enter one current recipe

Start with a cake you sell, its actual ingredients, steps, portions and known allergens.

  2. Agree who confirms orders

Set the counter and kitchen handoff before using live customer details.

  3. Try one sample cake

Use fictional details, including a pickup slot and allergy question, then check the confirmed order in the calendar.

Questions before you start

Can the app certify a nut-free cake?
No. Staff must verify ingredients, supplier changes and cross-contact in the actual kitchen; do not promise suitability when uncertain.
Will every inquiry appear on the pickup calendar?
No. The calendar includes relevant orders once their status is confirmed or further along.
Is the cake configurator a live public shop?
The desk has configuration and online-order views; external publishing and real intake must be checked in your setup.

Allergy checks happen in the kitchen

Saved recipes help, but stock checks, separation and cleaning remain practical duties.
