Bring the unit history into the service call

For HVAC contractors who need the right equipment record, fault details and past maintenance when a customer calls about a failed unit.

  1. Identify the unit

Check its site, model and serial number before sending a technician.

  2. Give the visit context

Record reported symptoms, priority and technician against that unit; put the visit on the work schedule.

  3. Keep a service trail

Add inspection findings and a next service date to the unit history, then close the fault with actual actions taken.

How Sektura helps with everyday work

Example: an office AC stops cooling

Fictional service case: an office manager reports warm rooms on a busy afternoon. The cause cannot be determined from the phone call; a qualified technician must inspect the equipment.

  1. Match the record

Find the unit by site and identity, review its last maintenance and enter the reported symptoms as a fault.

  2. Plan the visit

Assign priority and a technician to the fault, then record a visit with the site and task in the schedule.

  3. Capture the result

After inspection, enter a maintenance finding against the unit and close the fault only with the work actually completed.

The unit connects the fault and maintenance history for later review; recording the call does not send an external alert or establish a remote diagnosis.

Getting started is simple

How it works

  1. Create a sample unit

Use invented customer, site, model and serial number details.

  2. Log a test fault

Add a fictional cooling complaint, priority and technician for that unit.

  3. Inspect the history

Plan a sample visit, save an inspection finding and next date, then revisit the unit record.

Questions before you start

Can technicians see past work on the unit?
Yes, unit-linked maintenance and measurement records appear in its history when they have been recorded against that unit.
Does an emergency call notify staff automatically?
Faults and schedules can be managed here. External messages require configured, approved services; a new fault alone is not a delivery guarantee.
Does the refrigerant area make us compliant?
No. It stores entries. A qualified person must determine the applicable checks and evidence for the equipment and jurisdiction.

Engineering judgment

The actual fault, refrigerant handling and work approval require a competent on-site assessment.
