    Active bookings, available places and queue positions sit with the selected class.

  2. Handle a cancellation fairly

    Removing a booking can promote the earliest waiter in the stored list; staff can check the new status.

  3. Offer a sensible other time

    The timetable shows another class time and room, leaving suitability to the team.

    Contact the promoted person through your agreed studio channel and discuss an alternative if needed.

Questions before you start

Does someone move off the waitlist automatically?
Yes. Cancelling can promote the first waiter into an active booking. Check the refreshed list; that does not prove a message was sent.
Is a waitlist place a reserved mat?
No. It is a queue position until the booking becomes active and the studio confirms the arrangement.
Does booking check membership entitlements?
The screen selects from memberships, but the booking API checks the customer and class capacity, not plan entitlement. Apply your studio rules separately.

Decide who checks promotions and calls the affected member.

Keep the class workable

Staff still verify room, trainer and whether the class fits the person.

Removing the booking leaves the recurring weekly class. The desk has no separate absence status for just next Wednesday.
