Keep a wet wheat field in the plan without treating the plan as a harvest

For arable farms managing named fields and seasonal work. Record the crop and checked area, change a planned harvest date after inspecting the ground, then enter measured yield only when the combine has finished.

  1. Work belongs to a field

The field record holds its identifier, hectares, crop and optional soil and location details, so the plan has a clear place.

  2. Dates can be revised

An operation has a type, description, date and status. Editing it leaves a change history in the server; there is no dedicated reason-for-delay field.

  3. Harvest figures have their own entry

The harvest form takes date, crop and yield per hectare. A selected field supplies its area; moisture, grade and machine can be added.

How Sektura helps with everyday work

Example: rain delays the wheat combine

Wheat field W-12 was due to be cut, but overnight rain leaves the soil and crop too wet. The farm manager checks the ground at the field edge and keeps the machine off it.

  1. Check the field

Open W-12 with its verified area and crop, then review the planned harvest operation.

  2. Move the plan

Edit the operation date after the on-site decision. Explain the reason to the team separately; the date form has no reason box.

  3. Enter the actual crop

After combining, select W-12 in harvests and add the real date, yield per hectare and measured moisture if available.

The season view can show the recorded crop. It cannot measure moisture or decide when machinery may enter the field.

Getting started is simple

How it works

  1. Create one sample field

Enter a fictional field number, crop and checked hectares; add soil information only if known.

  2. Plan a harvest operation

Select that field, choose harvest, name the job and set the intended date.

  3. Try plan and actual separately

Change the date, then add a sample harvest with yield per hectare after a fictional cutting day.

Questions before you start

Does the desk detect wet ground?
No. The farm checks soil, crop, weather and equipment. The desk lets you amend the planned date; it does not provide a reliable trafficability forecast.
Does a completed plan create a harvest record?
No. Planned operations and harvest entries are separate. Record the cut with actual figures and select the field to link it.
Is the harvest record enough for every legal requirement?
No general assurance is possible. Requirements vary by place and operation; check the applicable records and enter verified values.

Keep plan and result apart

A planned date is not evidence of cutting. Calculated total yield also depends on correct area and yield per hectare.

Reschedule fieldwork after rain

After heavy rain, a farm must postpone work on a field.

  1. Review the field and planned operation in the field record.

  2. Discuss ground conditions and available machinery with the team.

  3. Note the new work date and reason for postponement.

The field record contains the decision and revised date.
