  1. Keep the conversation useful

    Consultation records can hold species, age, concern and products discussed for the next member of staff.

  2. Compare shelf and record

    Articles have recorded quantity, minimum, supplier and potentially species or expiry. Inbound, sale and correction bookings change the quantity.

  3. Prepare a deliberate purchase

    The replenishment view groups products below their entered minimum by supplier. It does not send an order automatically.

Fictional shop example: on Saturday afternoon a customer asks for the hay her older rabbit usually eats. She also says it has recently been eating less.

  1. Listen and set the boundary

    Note the current feed and the product question. Suggest a veterinarian for the appetite change rather than diagnosing it at the counter.

  2. Check item and shelf

    Look up the hay items and recorded quantities, then confirm what is physically on the shelf.

  3. Leave a clear note

    Record products discussed. If the preferred item falls below its minimum, review the replenishment list and supplier details.

The customer gets an honest stock answer and the team can follow up the question and purchase need.

    Create fictional hay and feed with species, supplier, starting quantity and a sensible minimum.

    Record a synthetic older-rabbit question, products discussed and a veterinary referral for symptoms.

  3. Review the stock threshold

    With sample data, book a sale or correction and check whether the item appears for replenishment.

Questions before you start

Does the desk diagnose animals or prescribe diets?
No. It records shop advice and products discussed. Symptoms, medicines and therapeutic diets require veterinary assessment.
Does it order automatically from a supplier?
No. It lists items below the recorded minimum. Check the shelf, bookings, need and supplier terms before placing an order.
Do we need live-animal records if we sell supplies only?
No. Start with articles, stock and advice. Animal inventory, stock book and CITES areas are available for relevant sellers, with permits and original evidence checked separately.

When selling live animals

Species, origin, care and possible protected-species documents may need separate checks by country and case. An entry is not an official permit.
